Train words - Dyslexic disorder

The app speaks words to the children and checks whether they are spelled correctly. The more often a word is spelled correctly, the less often it appears in the app. You have full control over the individual list of English words and enjoy comprehensive evaluations. Also great for parents without pedagogical background!

This useful tool helps children with

  • writing training,
  • spelling training,
  • preparing for dictations and
  • symptom training for dyslexia.
Note: The app cannot replace a specific dyslexia training program, but it can be used well for repeating individual words. If the app frustrates your dyslexic child, please define easier words or stop using it.

Works very simple

As a parent or teacher, you enter words that the student often misspells. The integrated dictionary supports you in entering them, so that they are stored correctly from the beginning. The order does not matter, because the training algorithm decides which word is read out when and how often in the web application. In addition, you have full control over your created word lists and see exactly which word was spelled correctly or incorrectly and how often.

The app reads words or groups of words from the list to the students, who write them using the integrated screen keyboard within the application. Correctly spelled words earn a lot of points. But misses also increase the score a little bit, which is supposed to boost motivation.

Special Features

  • Sophisticated algorithm:
Logic decides which words are read aloud in a training round.
  • Smart keyboard:
The large keys are super easy for children's hands to operate on the smartphone. In addition, the letters are in different positions for each pass, which requires more concentration when practicing. In addition, the integrated keyboard prevents word or correction suggestions from the browser or the device. Further plus points are the clear distinction between I (India) and l (laugh) as well as the limitation to 21 individual keys for an optimal overview.
  • Speech synthesis:
The technology for reading aloud words or short groups of words uses pleasant and extremely natural sounding voices. A difference to human voices is hardly noticeable!
  • Evaluations and statistics:
You will see an exact evaluation for each individual word, including whether errors were made only in upper/lower case.
  • User manager:
You can manage word lists for more than one student within your account.
  • Foreign language German:
In addition to English, the tool can also speak German words - ideal for learning the correct spelling of German vocabulary!
  • Training supplement for dyslexia:
Support programs for dyslexics can be wonderfully completed, because the targeted training of frequently misspelled words is recommended by experts.
Note: The app cannot replace a specific dyslexia training program, it is designed to repeat and reinforce individual words. If the app frustrates your dyslexic child, please define easier words or stop using it.
