Phrasal verbs are made up of a verb and one or two particles. It is the particle which changes the meaning of the verb. For example: I look forward to seeing you! I look after my brother. I look up to her, she is my idol. Can you see how the meaning of the verb "look" is changed by adding the particle "forward", "after" or "up"?
