When we want to talk about someone's command, we have to use a to-clause: She told me to ask him. He told me not to be upset.
How to do it: For a positive command use to + infinitive. For a negative command use: not + to + infinitive
When reporting a command, you do not have to change the tenses!

Don't ride too fast! Mum told me ______ ride too fast.

Tidy your room! Mum asked me ______ my room.
