In English you can use different words to ask questions:

Who? (= Wer?) - for persons
Where? (= Wo?) - for places or positions
When? (= Wann?) - for the time
Why? (= Warum?) - for finding out the reason (Grund)
What? (= Was?) - for objects and things
How? (= Wie?) - to describe the manner (Art und Weise)
How many or how much? (Wie viele?) - to find out a quantity

Examples:
Who is that girl? It's Sabrina.
When do you have breakfast? At 7 o'clock.
